In life, we learn that through mistakes made and hardships that friends and family are what can see us through these unfortunate moments. The Eagle is a bar that was originally opened in New York. Many have opened their own concepts and adapted to the needs of the various communities. The Eagle has never been a franchise, but it has core beliefs of leather and fetish. Fortunately, there are people in these communities who remember that working as a united community far outweighs segregation of everyone. However, sometimes the mistakes we make affect many more than we anticipated. Passion sometimes does not see that there may be negative consequences alongside the positive moments. Regardless of the outcomes, there were bonds made at the local queer bar known as the Baltimore Eagle. It had reopened in January 2017 and abruptly closed their doors in July 2018. The family-like bonds now has to scatter because of a terrible mishap. Despite wanting something good, there were outside forces that prevented this. Now, mistakes were made on both sides, but that doesn't destroy the community that was formed. Now, it is up to us to care for each other since we have been displaced from the physical meeting place. Here are my experiences as a patron and as an employee at the Eagle. Thank you, Chuck, Greg and Bob for doing your best to unite a community. Your efforts will always be cherished as some of the best moments of my life.
