The Beach in Albuquerque was once an oasis of comfort and a place filled with laughter and smiling. Burqueños would flock to the The Beach Waterpark to cool off in the Lazy River or get a thrill sliding down one of the "free fall" slides. This started in 1987. However in 2004, The Beach unknowingly had their final open season. According to local rumors, the owners had financed the property to another owner to improve and make the place bigger and better. The rumor continued to say that the finances fell through unfortunately, and they were closing. In 2005, the Beach was closed for good. This is a documentation of what was left behind 7 years later.
